#23 Rename files based on ID Tags

Hi,

First of all thanks for the tool.

When I rename all the files and folders based on ID
tags. I have a number of "Greatests Hits" albums from
different artists. It puts all the tracks with an album
name marked as "Greatest Hits" into the last "Greatest
Hits" album it processed. i.e. I have 3 empty "Greatest
Hits" folders and one filled with all the tracks. I guess
the problem is that it gets confused when it has the
same album name from different artists not normally a
problem but with "Greatest Hits" ...

What rename pattern are you using? If you're using %L, then
you'll need to make sure your album artist tags are set
correctly.

I'm using the default pattern.

\Music\%L:\%L\%A\%N %T

All of the Album, Artist and Track tag data is correct in the
MP3's. I've double checked.
