The User Manual entry for PD Parameters indicates that if the timeout is set to 0 or not specified that it will be disabled. Early in tlp_subscribe the timeout value passed in is checked and if it is set to 0 it is set to appHandle->pdDefault.timeout. I understand why this is the case, if a timeout isn’t specified then using the default value is reasonable. But then what is the intended way to disable the timeout?

The recommended way is to provide TRDP_TIMER_FOREVER as timeout value.
