Hi Shawn, Thanks for the quick reply. I built 1.3 and ran on NT and initially thought the problem was gone, but then I noticed that exec was hanging on any commands that have arguments, like: exec dir /w This works fine on Solaris though. I played around with ExecCmd.java and found that the 'execMethod.invoke' is hanging on NT if your exec command has any arguments. BTW - the same ntdvm.exe problem exists if I call 'execWin' in ExecCmd.java instead of 'execReflection'. I will try to dig around a bit more - any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.
