Something else that Luciano's comments might suggest as a course of action is a way to include external links with the core to useful tcl code. Tcl's core distribution is less functional than, say, Perl or Python, in that it has wisely kept the core small and exported what it could, but that means that we probably ought to make more of an effort to tell people what they will need to get their jobs done. This is something that could probably be integrated with the web site. It would have to have a higher barrier (not sure of what criteria might be used) of entry so that only stable projects would be pointed out. Ideally, the two might share some sort of common description language (XML or Tcl based?) in order to facilitate moving from the web site to the Tcl documentation list. But back in reality, I don't know if anyone has time for this. Does it at least make enough sense that I can file it as a wishlist bug? -- David N.
