(with a symlink tclsh8.4 -> tclsh8.4.5) One of the things that the unix build of tcl does that I have never liked is to produce a binary file for tclsh that does not have the full version in the name of the file, ie your are left with tclsh8.4 rather than tclsh8.4.x. So, my opinion is to: * leave the Apple supplied file /usr/bin/tclsh8.4 alone * have the "makefile" put the compilation product in a file named tclsh8.4.5 and * just change the symlink to /usr/bin/tclsh -> /usr/bin/tclsh8.4.5. gbj...@ma... |
