Oops, now that you mention it, I do remember seeing the thread. Somehow it didn't seem like such a bad idea when I saw the original thread, but your message yesterday bothered me more (and I had forgotten about the earlier thread). I do see the benefit of getting the Macintosh stuff into the 8.4 release, but I'm also concerned about the precedent that this sets. I'll retract my NO vote that I made yesterday, but I really think we should try to avoid situations like this in the future. If something is important enough that you don't want it to miss a release, then you should plan ahead enough to get the vote done in time. I think this can be accomplished even with your "day job". -John- > -----Original Message----- > From: tcl...@li... > [mailto:tcl...@li...] On Behalf Of Jim Ingham > Sent: Thursday, September 05, 2002 10:20 AM > To: List Tcl > Subject: Re: [TCLCORE] TIP #108: Summary of Changes to > Generic Tcl/Tk Code to Enable Mac OS X Port > > > John, > > You seem to have missed the thread on the Tcl-Core list in which this > was discussed over the past couple of weeks.
