Platform: Ti PowerBook running MacOS X 10.2.6 with Dec Developer Tools I just built tcl-8.4.3 with the usual: $ cd tcl-8.4.3/unix $ ./configure $ make $ sudo make install I then ran 'make test' and several tests fail for the same reason: there is "extra" output that is making the compare of output report a failure. For example, here is the output from the failed env.test: env.test ==== env-2.1 adding environment variables FAILED ==== Contents of test case: getenv ---- Result was: __CF_USER_TEXT_ENCODING=0x1F5:0:0 ---- Result should have been (exact matching): ==== env-2.1 FAILED Of the 14 failing tests, 10 failures are caused by this issue. Does anyone know how to take care of this? Is it a build issue? Do I need to set something in my env before building or running 'make test'? TIA for help or pointers. George B. Smith gb...@k9... |
