Howdy! I've just recently acquired a PowerBook G4, and now I'm trying to port over all of my Tcl code, notably my Notebook application (http://www.wjduquette.com/notebook). I've run into a number of problems, and I really don't know whether they are bugs or simply things I have to live with; and even if they are bugs I don't know whether there's a work-around for them. The one that's really killing me is that when I paste text into a Tcl text widget, the line endings get lost. I end up with invisible ^M characters in the text (along with some other nasties) instead of getting the line breaks where they should be. It doesn't seem to matter what I'm pasting from (I've seen it when pasting from Carbon Emacs, Eudora for Mac, Mail, and Terminal); I've verified that it happens in a plain vanilla Text widget. Is this a known bug? Can I do anything about it?
