I wonder too.  I don't know how to assess this.  I could run our tools and if nothing falls over and dies, does that mean it's ok?  The "problem" has never been a problem or even an annoyance, so why fix it?  My objection is not strong, but I fail to see any value in the change, only risk, however small.
