Grumble... I can generally cause Apple's Tcl/Tk (Snow Leopard) to crash by hammering the down arrow in a scrollbar where several pages of data need to be scrolled... Here is what I get in the Komodo Console: 2011-04-09 18:38:31.956 Wish[48019:903] *** Assertion failure in +[NSEvent startPeriodicEventsAfterDelay:withPeriod:], /SourceCache/AppKit/AppKit-1038.35/AppKit.subproj/NSEvent.m:2373 2011-04-09 18:38:31.957 Wish[48019:903] An uncaught exception was raised 2011-04-09 18:38:31.957 Wish[48019:903] Periodic events are already being generated 2011-04-09 18:38:31.960 Wish[48019:903] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Periodic events are already being generated' *** Call stack at first throw: ( 0 CoreFoundation 0x00007fff853927b4 __exceptionPreprocess + 180 1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff8571a0f3 objc_exception_throw + 45 2 CoreFoundation 0x00007fff853925d7 +[NSException raise:format:arguments:] + 103 3 Foundation 0x00007fff83e1a776 -[NSAssertionHandler handleFailureInMethod:object:file:lineNumber:description:] + 198 4 AppKit 0x00007fff8790d8d2 +[NSEvent startPeriodicEventsAfterDelay:withPeriod:] + 144 5 AppKit 0x00007fff87a67016 -[NSScroller trackScrollButtons:] + 429 6 AppKit 0x00007fff87a64dc0 -[NSScroller mouseDown:] + 936 7 AppKit 0x00007fff876b834f -[NSWindow sendEvent:] + 5409 8 AppKit 0x00007fff875eda86 -[NSApplication sendEvent:] + 4719 9 Tk 0x00000001000c3900 XQueryPointer + 2090 10 Tk 0x00000001000c3dca Tk_MacOSXSetupTkNotifier + 753 11 Tcl 0x00000001001c62ae Tcl_DoOneEvent + 297 12 Tk 0x0000000100014f33 TkGetDisplayOf + 379 13 Tcl 0x0000000100162559 Tcl_CreateInterp + 4820 14 Tcl 0x000000010019a2eb TclStackAlloc + 6637 15 Tcl 0x00000001001d49e6 TclObjInterpProcCore + 1623 16 Tcl 0x0000000100162559 Tcl_CreateInterp + 4820 17 Tcl 0x000000010019a2eb TclStackAlloc + 6637 18 Tcl 0x00000001001d49e6 TclObjInterpProcCore + 1623 19 Tcl 0x0000000100162559 Tcl_CreateInterp + 4820 20 Tcl 0x0000000100163769 Tcl_EvalObjv + 66 21 Tcl 0x00000001001aa53d Tcl_CreateSlave + 2968 22 Tcl 0x0000000100162559 Tcl_CreateInterp + 4820 23 Tcl 0x00000001001631a9 Tcl_CreateInterp + 7972 24 Tk 0x00000001000c4439 TkCreateRegion + 548 25 AppKit 0x00007fff87713e9a -[NSApplication sendAction:to:from:] + 95 26 AppKit 0x00007fff87713df9 -[NSControl sendAction:to:] + 94 27 AppKit 0x00007fff87713d84 -[NSScroller sendAction:to:] + 85 28 AppKit 0x00007fff87a6706e -[NSScroller trackScrollButtons:] + 517 29 AppKit 0x00007fff87a64dc0 -[NSScroller mouseDown:] + 936 30 AppKit 0x00007fff876b834f -[NSWindow sendEvent:] + 5409 31 AppKit 0x00007fff875eda86 -[NSApplication sendEvent:] + 4719 32 Tk 0x00000001000c3900 XQueryPointer + 2090 33 Tk 0x00000001000c3dca Tk_MacOSXSetupTkNotifier + 753 34 Tcl 0x00000001001c62ae Tcl_DoOneEvent + 297 35 Tk 0x000000010001c07c Tk_MainLoop + 24 36 Tk 0x0000000100028ab0 Tk_MainEx + 1555 37 Wish 0x0000000100004545 0x0 + 4294985029 38 Wish 0x00000001000044a4 0x0 + 4294984868 39 ??? 0x0000000000000002 0x0 + 2 ) terminate called after throwing an instance of 'NSException' /usr/bin/wish: line 2: 48019 Abort trap "$(dirname $0)/../../System/Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versions/8.5/Resources/Wish.app/Contents/MacOS/Wish" "$@" I am getting sorta disappointed with the Apple Tcl/Tk system... Does the ActiveState Tcl/Tk behave mo'better, if so which version would be recommended... Jerry |
