Category: 48. Number Handling Group: current: 8.5.7 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ilya Kliot (plushy) Assigned to: Don Porter (dgp) Summary: float point underflow exception at initialization Initial Comment: Sorry I'm note sure about category. The platform is windows XP. the compiler is VC8.0 I've put the attention that my app with builin tcl fails without any message when it works together with ecl(embedabble common list). After some research I found that it stops if I asks lisp not to catch floating point exceptions. Then I compiled tcl 8.5.7 in debug mode and found that float point underflow detected in the SafeLdExp <- TclInitDoubleConversion <- TclInitSubsystems <- Tcl_FindExecutable when I've called Tcl_FindExecutable in my app. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Donal K. Fellows (dkf) Date: 2009-05-27 12:35 Message: Initial guess is that the two codebases are fighting over how the hardware should handle floating point exceptions. How lovely...
