note that N reportedly depends strongly on the number & quality of  
applications received for the organization (as well as size of the  
organization & other factors), last year N was at least 2 for every  
organization.
Given the number of applications (4) we have received so far I'd  
guess that it is not terribly likely that we will receive more than 2  
slots for Tcl/Tk (some organizations apparently have received 100s of  
applications...)

On a related note, it appears that there will probably be an  
extension to to the student application deadline:

i.e. more time to help students revise&improve the existing  
applications, and to drum up more students...
