Mac OS X Menus Group: obsolete: 8.4.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tom Goddard (tom_goddard) Assigned to: Jim Ingham (wolfsuit) Summary: No menu entry background color, Mac Aqua Initial Comment: Setting background colors for menu entries in Aqua Tk 8.4.4 has no effect. Here's an example. menubutton .b -text Tools menu .b.m .b.m add command -label stuff -background red .b configure -menu .b.m pack .b The resulting menu has a white background on the Mac. On Linux, Windows, SGI and HP Alpha the menu entry background comes out red as requested. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jim Ingham (wolfsuit) Date: 2003-09-30 13:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=169107 Right now, the AquaTk port just uses the standard Mac OS X menu definition function. So we only support the options that are supported by that MDEF. Colored backgrounds is not one of these. The classic Mac port has a custom MDEF, but it was buggy and hard to support. We will need to redo this to re-enable these features. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=814846&group_id=12997 |
