Bugs item #846143, was opened at 2003-11-20 21:39 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by patthoyts You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=846143&group_id=12997 Category: 58. [send] Group: develop: 8.5a0 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Vince Darley (vincentdarley) Assigned to: Pat Thoyts (patthoyts) Summary: misleading comments in tkWinSend.c Initial Comment: Line 331 of tkWinSend.c says: /* FIX ME: async and check for local interp */ There's also: /* * FIX ME: we don't support displayPtr. */ and code like this: /*ThreadSpecificData *tsdPtr = TCL_TSD_INIT(&dataKey);*/ Which suggest that tip150 was applied to the cvs head rather prematurely and should not be tagged 'final'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Pat Thoyts (patthoyts) Date: 2003-12-16 21:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=202636 Fixed the comments. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Vince Darley (vincentdarley) Date: 2003-12-16 10:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=32170 Leaving open since no fixes are yet committed. Changing summary line to reflect Pat's diagnosis. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Pat Thoyts (patthoyts) Date: 2003-12-15 23:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=202636 Async _is_ implemented, despite the comment. As or displayPtr I currently don't intend to implement this - from TIP #150: "Finally, given a suitable DCOM environment it should also be possible to implement the -displayof feature via Distributed COM. However, I don't see much call for this - network sockets are a lot simpler to use than DCOM." One or two of the other such comments are just place holders. I'll clean these up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=846143&group_id=12997 |
