[text] Group: 8.4a5 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Don Porter (dgp) >Assigned to: Anton Kovalenko (a_kovalenko) Summary: textIndex-5.2 hangs/hoses X on Linux/Alp Initial Comment: Don't know what recent changes have been made here, but the test textIndex-5.2 pretty reliably does bad things to my XFree86-3.3.6-20 on Red Hat Linux 6.2 on Alpha. During a full `make test` it just hangs on that test with X consuming all CPU. (AARRRRGGGHHH. just re-ran to verify, and no hang, so this isn't 100% repeatable.) If I limit the testing to the textIndex.test file (with -file option in TESTFLAGS) then the test just take uncomfortably long (a few seconds, while all others zip by in fractions of a second) and then sometimes (unreliably) I later have trouble with X closing and restarting when I log out/into another session. This is the first time I've noticed this trouble, have there been changes in this area recently? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jeffrey Hobbs (hobbs) Date: 2002-06-13 09:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=72656 I suspect this may be related to the recent fixes in char handling for non-latin1 chars. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112997&aid=568578&group_id=12997 |
