Channel Types Group: 8.4a5 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Andreas Kupries (andreas_kupries) Summary: server fails with -encoding binary Initial Comment: The bug affects Tcl 8.3.2 - 8.4a5 When a server socket is created and "fconfigure $sock -encoding binary" is used the server fails to call the proc specified in the socket -server command. The end result is that client sockets fail to be able to connect. This problem doesn't affect Unix-like (OpenBSD 3.0) systems from the tests that I've run. I and another person were able to verify that it fails in Windows. I tested it with Windows XP. Now, I know that fconfiguring a server socket is apparently pointless as DKF put it I believe, but it is a bug nonetheless. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=110894&aid=557878&group_id=10894 |
