Mac Build Group: 8.4a4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Rupert Barrow (rbarrow) Assigned to: Jim Ingham (wolfsuit) Summary: tkConfig.sh not in MacOSXTk8.4a4.tar.gz Initial Comment: In the Mac OS X build available on tcl.sourceforge.net (MacOSXTk8.4a4.tar.gz), tkConfig.sh is missingin the TK framework, although tclConfig.sh is available in TCL framework. Please deliver this vital piece for anyone wishing (!) to use Tk libs on Mac OS X. Thanks, Rupert ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jim Ingham (wolfsuit) Date: 2001-10-17 14:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=169107 As I said in the notes that accompanied the release, I have not yet started to think about how to make the Framework packaged versions of Tcl/Tk useful for building extensions. Just including the tkConfig.sh would not really help that much. In fact, the tclConfig.sh in the Tcl framework only works in the build tree, not in the framework. This is high on my list of things to do. I hope to have a good solution that others can adopt in fairly short order. But this is bound up with how to easily make your own frameworks, and your own "*Config.sh" files, and is more complicated than just including this file. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel A.
