Funnily enough, that's what the original TIP#112 proposal was about.

And IIRC that was why I dropped that part of it. Auto-ensemble is nice,
but breaks more code than I was willing to tolerate in a minor version
change.

I don't recommend using the name of a namespace for any command that is
not the "auto-ensemble" of the command though. The idea hasn't gone
away! :-)
