Hi, I'm attempting to put together a commercial Tk app delivered on the Mac and am trying for a finished, native look. What is the status of the "pinstripe and button patch" here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=312997&aid=1170803&group_id=12997 It looks like it was going to go into the core but then got dropped? I tried applying it to the latest 8.5a5 release and most of it applied, except for the two major files, which had 40K of rejections each. I tried using the tile/ttk support but it is currently too impoverished for my needs -- I need to be able to set fonts on menus and buttons, display scales on sliders, etc.. All of which both the OS and the mainline TkAqua is capable of. Also, I'm unclear of the goal of tile/ttk: it seems like an add-on to do something Tk already does with its separate native implementations on each window system; is it mainly to support "themability" trends on linux? thanks, Adrian |
