Hi, Yesterday I downloaded TclTkAquaStandalone-8.4.10 and tried Kevin's trick at http://www.wordtech-software.com/tcl-bundle- tutorial.html to make my Tcl/Tk app into a standalone app with it's own icon... Mimicking, Kevins tutorial almost works... The problem is that in addition to launching my application, another instance of wish is also launched (with a console window and a wish window). After a bit of headbanging I dropped back a couple of versions of the standalone shell to match what was in Kevin's tutorial. Using the 8.4.7 Standalone shell works "properly" and does not launch the additional wish app. Is the 8.4.7 in error or is 8.4.10 the "buggy" version? ************************** Anyway it seems to me that since Tcl/Tk comes with OS X there aught to be a simpler way to build a bundle that can launch the existing tcl interpreter and save a buncho' disk space by not having to include a special interpreter.... Thanks Jerry |
