Maybe, but implementing that might mean such an intrusion to the object interfaces that it's not worth it. The command as suggested helps a lot, for a very small implementation cost. Also, I believe that the exposure of objects should be kept to a minimum. Even if the thought of using this in functional code is so horrible that it is hard to imagine anyone doing it, someone just might. /Peter |
