I use DTG to enter tasks and they usually don't have the parent task's Context, Folder or both. When looking in a particular Context or Folder I can't see any subtasks.

This would be specially usefull when filtering tasks on a task search: if you prepare a filter to show some tasks, it's quite annoying not being able to see the subtasks under a filtered task. I can see whether the task has subtasks or not, just showing the subtasks quantity field. But in some cases, I don't even know in which folder, context, etc. are those subtasks, so there is no other way to find them than going to the ALL TASK filter and manualy search for the selected task.
I understad that any filter option should filter both tasks and subtasks, and that´s neccesary. But it´s also necesary to have a way to see all the subtasks of a selected task. May be a checkbox similar to "indent subtasks", or a pop up windows.

The reverse of this functionality is already implemented: if you filter a subtask, and the checkbox "Indent subtasks" is active, you can see both the subtask and the parent task, even that is no filtered by itself.

I agree, I too find this feature very important (and missing).

Sadly, having 100++ tasks, we do not even have the ability to keep the main task and all its subtasks "in view" after clearing all filters, as the main task (selected in the filtered view) loses focus after the filtering changes.

This one it critical for me also. Much of my task entry is done from my phone but the subtasks don't inherit the parent categories so I can't see subtasks without viewing everything.
