I use Task Unifier as an information base too (e.g. when and where and for how much I have bought a product the last time). There is an option to keep completed tasks for a quite long time but not forever, after that time they will deleted.

So it would be nice to have an option to archive selected or all completed tasks to another file, so that they will not be lost and the overhead of synching such tasks will be saved.

It would be even better when the archived file could be opened in Task Unifier, providing the same searching and filtering options as for the active list. Yes I know this would be a great change. As a compromise only the ability of switching between the active and the archived tasks would be fine. Read-only mode of the archived tasks could be acceptable too (although not necessary).

I'd like this function/feature also. I'm something of a pack rat regarding tasks, calendar, contacts, email, etc, so a good archival method in TU would be great! I agree that those tasks don't need to live on forever everywhere & being able to just create a local archive that could be searched for reference would be awesome!! I'd envision this working similar to Archiving in Outlook but without all the intricate settings that can be done there.

    Please Ben, do it!

    +1 from my side.

I use TaskUnifier for critical work, and knowledge about when I concluded a task, why and how is important. I store my tasks in Toodledo, with a pro subscription, so that's extending me to 2 years. However, counting on toodledo only for archiving of critical tasks only makes me feel itchy.
