This seems to be similar to bug #398.
I essentially can't edit notes of tasks. After editing a few characters I cannot enter any more text.
I'm using task unifier 4.3.2, Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, java version 1.7.0_67 SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_67-b01) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode),
using the Oracle Java SDK (with open Java sdk doesn't work).
To produce it: start task unifier, open a task, start editing the text.
Text entering is very slow (actually entering date using the key works) or stops altogether after a few characters.

Hi,
I will have a look at it, it seems to happen only with ubuntu.
It might be a problem of the exact verison of Java SDK used, if I know the
exact version, I could check whether the problem persists. If it occurs in Ubuntu and not in other distributions it might have something to do with gnome (as opposed to KDE).
Tell me if you need any logfiles etc.
When google for java textbox Ubuntu I received some relevant links,
