#569 Invisible tasks/efforts
After a computer crash and upon re-opening Task Coach, I'm not able to see see any of the tasks or efforts that I created in any file. At the bottom of the effort viewer it says "0 selected, 0 visible, ### total". When I open the file in a text editor I see the tasks and efforts, so it looks like they remain in the file just not visible. I have verified that I don't have any filters on in the view menu.
This even occurred with a new file. I created a new file with a few tasks and efforts, which I could see. After saving it and re-opening it it's blank again.
I've been using Task Coach for years and have not experienced this.
Hi, I'm so sorry I never replied to this support request!
But I'm excited to tell you that https://github.com/taskcoach/taskcoach now has updated Python3 Task Coach codebase! Packages are available for some common Linux systems and for Windows (note that it isn't recognized by Windows Smartscreen but can be installed by accepting the warning anyway)
We'd love to have you test the updated program, and post any issues that arise there at GitHub
Hopefully everything will work smoothly, and if not, development is actually happening again now, so we can work to fix issues
