Assigning this to Jerome. I don't know what's involved, but I've heard that Apple is breaking a lot of things with their new compliance program. This may be a serious threat to software freedom as it sets up a major barrier to people running whatever software they want, modified as they wish, etc.
If anyone can post a link or summary about the compliance tasks for GPL software, that might help.

Catalina dropped support for 32 bits applications. This is not really a surprise since they've been obsoleted for two major versions of macOS now., and the drop was announced for quite some time.
There's no roadmap for an update. That would mean a major update of the underlying wxWidget toolkit and I just don't have time to work on Task Coach.

I'm not aware of any other software that works like Task Coach overall, and the value of getting it updated is really great. I think we could maybe update the website to announce that we are looking for volunteers to help with overhauling the framework.

Hi! Happy to be announcing, all these years later, that Task Coach is now updated to Python3 and development is finally active again, thanks to new volunteers. The project has now moved to https://github.com/taskcoach/taskcoach
I'm using it myself, and things are working better than ever.
We'd love to have you test the updated program, and post any issues that arise there at GitHub. We won't be continuing with SourceForge, just clearing out old issues and letting people know about the move.
