No, the delta file only contains housekeeping informations. What exact version of Task Coach do you use ? Backups are systematic since 1.4.0 but there was a bug fixed in 1.4.1 in case the path to your home directory contained non-ASCII characters. Also, what happened exactly, are you unable to open the .tsk ?

I had the same problem of Dave Drake and I also thought I could get back the numerous changes lost after crash with the "filename.tsk.delta" file.
However, if possible, how can I recover my lost changes?
    I have the portable 1.4.3 version (31/01/2016) and I have Windows 10
    Thank you in advance,
    Letina

Hi, it's many years later, and I'm excited to tell you that Task Coach updated to Python3 and development is finally active again, thanks to new volunteers. The project has now moved to https://github.com/taskcoach/taskcoach

I'm using it myself, and things are working better than ever. Packages are available for some common Linux systems and for Windows (note that it isn't recognized by Windows Smartscreen but can be installed by accepting the warning anyway)

We'd love to have you test the updated program, and post any issues that arise there at GitHub

We won't be continuing with SourceForge, just clearing out old issues and letting people know about the move

    Cheers
