#577 Reminder does not work after computer suspend
Hi,
I have problem with TaskCoach on my windows XP SP3 notebook. I am everyday suspending the PC (not shutting down) and the reminder is not more working after wake up. I tried to (after wake up) disable reminder, change reminder, nothing works. I have to close TaskCoach and run it again. Can you please help me? Because of my work I am not able to shutdown my computer everyday or restart the TaskCoach after wake up
I have missing reminders also without suspending. Maybe I dont know how it works. I have enabled some of them, but not popup windows come up. It comes up always after TC restart :(
Nobody who can help me? I enter some reminders for tasks, but they sometimes come up, sometimes not. When I click on snooze then it sometimes come up after specified time, sometimes not. In the task list I have also column reminder and when reminder is over then it is showen still in the column, I have to reorder the task list to have it refreshed. I really need working reminders.... be able to see on which date I have them and most important to be notified :(

A fix was made and checked into the source code repository of Task Coach. The fix will be part of the next release. You will get another notification when that release is available with the request to install the new release and confirm that your issue has indeed been fixed.
If you like, you can download a recent build from http://www.fraca7.net/TaskCoach-packages/latest_bugfixes.py to test the fix.
Because a fix has been made for this bug report, the priority of this report has been lowered to 1 and its resolution has been set to 'Fixed'.

Hi development team,
I am afraid the issue still exist. It seems that only first reminder popup and then nothing. I tested to create two similar tasks
First:
starting date 14.11.09
reminder 14.11 at 10:40
Second:
starting date 14.11.09
reminder 14.11 at 10:45
Fist one popup but the second one not. It doesnt depend if I snooze first one or just click on OK. After TC restart the second is showed. I can snooze it for five minutes and create the next one at 11:00 for example. Then the snoozed come up after snooze time, but the new one at 11:00 which is in this example as second not. So I think only first reminder is showen and then nothig.
TC is in system tray always.
I tested it many times and still the same behaviour. I am using windows XP. The log is not created. I dont know if the problem is in reminder or just the windows doesnt popup. But I have to say the reminders are still not working. Let me know if I can help anyhow. Thank you for your support.

I've actually noticed this on my MBP too. Not sure the app is doing the right thing once a resume is signaled. Very easy to reproduce:
Set a reminder.
make sure the machine is suspended at the time of the reminder.
resume the machine.
No reminders are delivered.
Workaround:
restart taskcoach
All of the reminders poop up
(This workaround is a major pain!)
I tried Version 0.78.1, Revision 2713, January 16, 2010 on my MBP and preliminary tests show that it works. I'll give you a much better update by mid next week. (RAZ)

I just commited some fixes related to power management on Windows and Mac OS; hopefully this problem is definitely solved.
