hello i have downloaded the latest version of task coach (0.72.9) but i am unable to install it due to this error ---> Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: python-wxgtk2.8 (>= 2.8.9.2) i have checked in synaptic and found that i have python-wxgtk2.8 installed so i am unsure why it wont install.

any help would be appreciated.

im running ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) and i am currently using task coach version 0.72.0 (this is the version i was trying to update)

    Hi,

Task Coach needs version 2.8.9.2 of python-wxgtk2.8. Follow these instructions: http://wiki.wxpython.org/InstallingOnUbuntuOrDebian.

I hope Ubuntu will start shipping 2.8.9.2 soon, but I don't exactly know how soon that will be :-(

    Cheers, Frank

A fix was made and checked into the source code repository of Task Coach. The fix will be part of the next release. You will get another notification when that release is available with the request to install the new release and confirm that your issue has indeed been fixed.

Because a fix has been made for this bug report, the priority of this report has been lowered to 1 and its resolution has been set to 'Fixed'.

    Thanks,

    Task Coach development team

Next version of Task Coach will require 2.8.9.1 so that it works for Ubuntu without you having to install wxPython yourself. So instead of following my previous instruction you may also want to wait for the next bugfix release (hopefully coming weekend).

    Cheers, Frank
