#1449 Clicking "Customize" "Cancel" make current search permanent

No

Steps to reproduce:
1) Enter a search string.
2) Click "Customize".
3) Click "Cancel".
4) Click "X" in the search bar.
5) Type a new search string.
6) Click "X" in the search bar.

Expected result:

  • No active search after steps 4 and 6.
  • Search for new search string after step 5.

Actual result:

  • After steps 4, 5, and 6 the search from step 1 is still active.

The search seems to be copied somewhere during the customization. I cleared the unexpected state by clicking "Customize", clearing the search box, and clicking "OK" ("Cancel" doesn't work).

Step 3 is the key step. My expectation is that clicking "Customize" followed by "Cancel" should end up with no change to the viewer behavior. (I would find the behavior strange if clicked "OK", but clearly wrong when I click "Cancel".)

A fix was made and checked into the source code repository of Task Coach. The fix will be part of the next release. You will get another notification when that release is available with the request to install the new release and confirm that your issue has indeed been fixed.

If you like, you can download a recent build from http://www.fraca7.net/TaskCoach-packages/latest_bugfixes.py to test the fix.

Because a fix has been made for this bug report, the priority of this report has been lowered to 1 and its resolution has been set to 'Fixed'.
    Thanks, Task Coach development team
