It works for me. How are you moving A? Are you dragging just A, or A and A1 together? Because in the latter case, A and A1 both become direct subtasks of B (and siblings of each other). If you want A1 to stay a subtask of A, you need to only drag A an drop it on B.

I'd swear I got a stop sign like if I'm trying to make a task his own subtask ... anyway, I'm closing and in case of reoccurence I'll try to document a reproduction.
