Taskcoach 1.2.27 @ Ubuntu
Example:
task A in category Cat
I am adding a subtask to A via either shift-ctrl-N shortcut, or mouse right click in Tasks viewer: create a subtask A.sub
task A.sub is created with empty category
In general this is okay when using tree mode, but in list mode this leads to impossibility of sorting (sub)tasks by category.
I believe, subtasks should inherit parent task's category(-ies).
TaskCoach.ini
Understood, but this leads to a question:
-when you drag-and-drop the A.sub to another parent, what should happen? Possibilities:
1-the task "sub" looses the Acategory and gains the newparent category
2-the task "sub" keeps the Acategory and gains also the newparent category (not so good...)
Point 1 leads to another consideration: the Acategory is not only manually set for this task, but also set by a drag-and-drop activity. So whenever you drag-and-drop a task you must well keep in mind that you will probably need to re-check the categories of the task, in order to eventually set again some of them.
