I think the original poster and I are missing the same feature:
In the unix tail, you can push the enter key, so that you can separate the old lines (the ones already shown) from the new, incomming lines.
I find this feature really useful because you can see what lines came recently without having to check the log all the time.
Anyway, this tail is the best implementation for windows I found.
