The effect worked perfectly (except for the displacement of the URL address drop down) for me for a while, but sometime after I upgraded to FF 2.0.0.7 and installed the RealPlayer plugin, the new Cooliris Previews and PicLens, it slowed WAAAY down. It's unusable now. Used to take about a second to rotate. Now is 2+ seconds.
I disabled all add-ons except Tab Effect and it was still slow. Does this mean that FF 2.0.0.7 is incompatible? Oddly, I think it worked with FF 2.0.0.7 for a while. There were no changes to video hardware or drivers.
I'm typically running:
Tab Effect 1.1
Firefox 2.0.0.7
Cooliris Previews 2.5
Cooliris PicLens 1.5.12

IE Tab 1.3.3.20070528
Minimize To Tray Enhancer 0.7.5.3
MinimizeToTray 0.0.1.2006102615+
Mouse Gestures 1.5.2
OpenDownlaod 1.0.0
RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 1.0 (Disabled)

I figured it out!!! The slowness is not related to tab effect at all! My video card has some issues with drawing to my primary (digital) display when I have a Windows Messenger chat window in that same display. As long as my chat windows are on the secondary display, there is no slowness.
I stumbled upon this because my scrolling slowed way down too. It looked like one half of the scrolling page was trying to catch up with the other half. The cut was always wherever the left side of my WM chat window was. Very weird.
My apologies for blaming this Tabb Effect and FF. The add-on works great. I haven't had the displacement of the address drop-down in a while, although I do expect it to come in and out from time to time. Not a huge bother though.

It's happening again, and I don't know what it is this time...

BTW, I'm running 2.0.0.9 now and the problem is consistent (reboot and all).
