After the installation of Tab Effect firefox will not start anymore. It trys to start for a second, then dies. I use the german version of firefox. My other installed extensions: German Dictionary, fasterfox, NoScript, gTranslate, IEview, Image Zoom, Tabbrowser Preference, Video Downloader. Firefox starts again, after deleting the Folder in the Extensions Menu.

This seems to happen when Firefox is set to "Sow my windows & tabs from last time". When set to "Show Home Page" or "Show Blank Page", it does seem to work.

I think there is an incompatibility with Session Saver, as when Session Saver asks if I want to restore the last session Firefox reports that a script is taking too long and asks if it should disable it. If I keep trying to let the script finish by hitting Cancel, it will not ever finish. If I refuse Session Saver restoring the previous session... then Firefox starts normaly. (I can then go to the Tools->Session Manager and restore a session with no problems.)
I noticed in the code a setTimeout with a zero millisecond delay. I think possibly there is a conflict over Current Selected Tab or something, between Session Restoring, and this extension.

I had this exact same problem myself. You will get this if you have some extensions that provide msvcr71.dll. Copy msvcr71.dll to the tabeffect's components folder. Since tabeffect uses a guid, here it is... {0784CD66-62FE-4cef-ABF4-F8ED9B654ACC}. So I would try looking for that file in your extensions folder, and deleting all of them after copying one of them to your Firefox program directory... Usually C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe
All my extensions that need it are running just fine, after I did the same. I guess it would be best to copy the latest version of that dll file. Good Luck.
