I'm afraid I have to tell you that at the moment, the format of the Dates in the recently changed list and the birthday list are hard-coded! Shame on me :-)
I'll look if I can make a config option out of that...
And something aside:
An average english speaker (which doesn't know any french ;-)) probably won't get what you mean with "jj mm aa instead of mm jj, aa"
in english:
jour -> day (ergo j -> d)
an -> year (ergo a -> y)
ergo: dd mm yy instead of mm dd, yy ;-)
