The temp files are held for restore options. (I think... testing) You can setup a cleanup under the restore section of Synkron. I think we are all strugling with the same issues but this is not being developed so we have to do workarounds...

We LOVE Synkron, and really wish it was still being developed. No other tool is as simple or reliable...normally. I have one install that has suddenly started copying the contents of all syncs to C:\username.Synkron\ Anyone know why? It's eating up drive space pretty quickly. Also, syncs are suddenly not quite working right. It's reporting that files don't exist on the source, when I can see that they plainly do. Any help appreciated!

Hello, We use Synkron to sync files from a Campbell Sci Loggernet folder to our shared Dropbox folder. Recently, we have run into an issue when hitting sync within Synkron. Synkron will begin searching for changes between the file locations, stop responding, and exit. Sometimes it will sync all the files checked before the problem file, other times it stops responding immediately.

please refer to the attached jpg the size of text on the home page of SYNKRON is very very small. this is very very hard to read. so why do the designers of this program make the text size so small and more importantly HOW can it be changed and clearly increased. i cant find an option in the program to do this. prsonally i find this issue in many programs, so much so i feel program designers think it is sexy and clever. tbh it is neither. it is a real pain in the ass. wishes philip jh west melb....

Ok, I figured it out... On the menu Options/Change Temporary Folder Path... I'm wondering if there is a way to synchronize folders without having this temporary files... Would using rsync on terminal avoid this? Does it have anything to do with "recursive" copying/syncing?

I have the same question. I have the system on a 60Gb SSD, where Synkron is installed. I'm trying to sync 100Gb+ folders between two 1Tb HHDs, but in clutters up the little free space I have on my SSD and crash...

I want to compare a local dir tree with a corresponding dir tree on another computer (in LAN). Assume I am currently NOT connected (=logged in) into the mentioned remote computer. How can I pass username + password to Synkron to do the login job before syncing? Or am I always forced to connect to the remote computer manually in advance? Thomas

Hi, I am having issues with synkron. From my hard drive (master) to my usb key (slave), I synchronize files but I have tons of error messages. Hello, I've been trying to find a Sync App to Syncronize a huge (70TB) folder between 2 Linux servers that have 10Gbps NICs, but none of the sync methods I have used run faster than 1Gbps even when the servers can copy files between each other at over 2Gbps. I'm asking what Zynkron uses because if it uses rsync or something like that, it won't cut it for me. Thanks.

I have similar issue though am using Synkron 1.6.2 on Windows 8. (64bit) even though 'Run Hidden'is not ticked in system trqy am still unable to view Synkron window when program is active. i have uninstalled and cleared registry of all Synkron and Matus Tomlein references and removed .synkron folder from User profile folder reinstalled and original confiuguration remains. Originally i was able to view window though after deleting and installing on D: partion could no longer view window.

Synchronising data folders. The issue I have is bandwidth. Some sites have good connections and others, not so good. Its been many years, but i was looking for a app like arRsync but with better interface and more functions. Seems like Synkron has it. I was looking for a backup method which syncs folders but keeps old files. After some testing, i noticed if i set both folder to Master, but keep the Head master untouched or non editable. This looks like the function described above
