However, posting on the bug=20 > tracker seems to get some attention. Darco (the original developer) doesn't have enough time for his many projects (inc synfig). So he recruited me to help fix some bugs and feed patches from the community into the project: http://www.synfig.com/2006/01/26/new-developer/ I haven't been on this list until the past day or so though. Unfortunately I've been slightly busy too :) You can usually ping me on irc to get my attention though. > > I've not attempted compiling Synfig - but I've been on > > this list since Synfig was released. >=20 > I'm an early subscriber too. As mentioned on the download page, all the 64-bit build issues should now be fixed. This was due to patches from the debian amd64 porters. synfigstudio was only just fixed in the past day or two because it finally got into debian. It would have been nice to receive a patch from gentoo or somewhere else, but it didn't happen.=20 > Within the last 12 hours someone answered one of my bug reports and=20 > fixed a problem with ETL in the SVN repository. Please post any patches you make in the tracker and tell us about it on irc if you want a quick commit. > The program is finally launching so I guess it is time to start > figuring out how this is supposed to work! There are some user-contributed documentation and darco's tutorial on the wiki. Also, drop by the irc channel (#synfig on freenode).=20 > By the way, I'm also following a similar program called KToon,=20 > http://ktoon.toonka.com > and it has been under quite active development--check out their=20 > documentation on how to build the SVN sources. jahshaka is another thing you might be interested in. Hmm, I should organise my list of links to similar free software projects. --=20 bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise |
