I would love to work on a macro language. I dont know how much time I could put into it this month. How do you feel about imbeding Python? I have done it in another project (with Delphi) and it works just slicker than snot! I'v never seen comments about a macro language before, so I assume no one is doing one. First we might need to change some of the cursor and word handling so it'll be easier for our macros to use them. Next we should vote on what type of macros and/or language we want. Personally I love the Multi-Edit macro language. We could do a Python version however. But a language like that would be hard to "record" a macro, whereas if we have macros that are just "events" it wouldnt be to bad. I've seen on dsp a delphi like scripting component. I believe it costs, but maybe we could persuade the author to let us use it?? Guess I'v rattled on enough -Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Markku Niskanen" <mar...@ik...> To: <syn...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2001 5:08 AM Subject: [Synedit-devel] Macro language Hello! Is there any work being done to create a macro/template component/utility for SynEdit. Just for fun I cloned a couple of simple NoteTab (TM) Clip language functions to SynEdit but this is not even a start. So, is there any work being or been done? Markku -- mar...@ik... |
