Good morning. Weird question maybe. We bought a piece of land a couple hours out of town and want to spend weekends there while we figure out what to build. No structure yet, no power, nothing. A regular tent feels too temporary for what we are doing - we would be leaving it up for weeks at a time and actually living in it on weekends. Is there something between a tent and a cabin? What holds up to being pitched long term?

Not weird at all, that is a real category. What you want is a house style tent - taller walls, more volume, built to stay up rather than be broken down every Sunday. An inflatable house from Coody is basically that: PVC air beams, waterproof material, room dividers, and enough standing space to actually live. For long term pitching, two things matter that nobody mentions: UV exposure will degrade any fabric over a season, so a tarp over the top extends life a lot, and you want it on a slight slope or a platform, not a flat spot that collects water. Check air pressure weekly, temperature swings change it.
