Hey everyone! Guys, I need some advice. My wife and I are flying to Spain for our wedding anniversary—just to relax on the coast—but we’re landing in Alicante late at night, around midnight. I really don’t want to drag a bunch of bags around on public transit at that hour, and renting a car right at the airport for the whole trip doesn’t make sense, since the hotel is downtown and parking is a nightmare there, plus rental prices are sky-high right now because of the season.

Has anyone used a pre-booked private car service where the driver meets you right at the terminal exit? Is that really more convenient and safer than a regular airport taxi? And how is the fare calculated for nighttime hours—if the flight gets delayed, will we end up having to pay a crazy amount extra on the spot?

Oh, happy anniversary! What a great place to relax. I was just coming back from a business trip through that airport last month, and I had a similar dilemma because the local taxi drivers charge whatever they want, especially at night. I chose the transfer Alicante airport service on the GetTransfer website because the fare is locked in at the time of booking. It was super convenient. The driver was waiting for me in the arrivals hall with a sign. He helped me carry my luggage to the car, and there were no nighttime surcharges. Which hotel are you planning to stay at? Is it far from the waterfront?

Wenn man stressfrei entspannen will!
