Is indoor laser tag a good business for small towns

Hello everyone. I am analyzing the market in my town of about 45,000 residents to see if opening an indoor laser tag venue makes financial sense. My main worry is maintaining steady revenue during weekdays and non-holiday periods. What equipment configurations offer the best return on investment for smaller markets? Is it better to start with a smaller 10-tagger kit and scale up, or should we launch with a full 20-player arena right away?

Starting with a 10 to 12 player kit is actually a smart move for a smaller population base, as it lowers your initial equipment cost while covering most private party bookings. In smaller towns, word-of-mouth and birthday parties will drive almost all your revenue. To keep maintenance costs practically zero, invest in high-grade commercial gear rather than entry-level units. I often check hardware specifications on lasertagsystems when looking at indoor arena solutions that offer scalable software. Good software lets you run diverse game modes like free-for-all, team deathmatch, or infection, which keeps local kids coming back repeatedly. Keep your overhead low, buy durable taggers with good warranty support, and focus on delivering memorable birthday party experiences.
