@deuce I had the same problem yesterday, but I was informed by the sysop that the filesystem had unexpectedly been unmounted, and is fixed now. To upload, I hit enter on the uploads area, then on the next screen, only "uploads" shows. Then I hit enter and am prompted for the upload. Although I'm the one who reported to the sysop that I get errors when I try to upload (a 200kb file). Uploading and downloading mail packets on the board works, but so far, after many attempts, uploading a 200kb file to the uploads area fails. For BBS'ing, I have been using minicom with modemu2k, but recently I've been using syncterm more. I can't log into shsbbs.net with minicom/modemu2k though because nothing happens when I hit ESC twice after connecting (though that works with other BBSes that I connect to with minicom). I'm on Manjaro Linux. As for the uploads while using syncterm, I've tried with the build from the AUR, and I built 1.9rc3 and got the same results on shsbbs.net. Yesterday, on a different BBS (that was running BBBS software), while in syncterm 1.8, I uploaded a 9.8MB file successfully on the first attempt. I'm not convinced yet syncterm is the problem, but some other compatibility problem. Could you recommend to me the best way to get suitable debugging output when running syncterm for a case like this?

The best way is to enable verbose logging on both sides of the transfer. The SyncTERM dialing directory has a "Log Configuration" menu where you can set a filename and set the file transfer logging to All. For sexyz, I think you need to create an ini file or something, I'm not sure.

Couldn't figure out how to upload to shsbbs.net, uploads to other BBSs appear to work.
