When connecting via Prestel mode, it looks like only a small set of control codes are sent through to the server. This causes a problem with frame editors that would require control codes for creating escape sequences. They're also used when users are able to use graphics and color when creating messages. ESCape should also be passed. It's up to the back end to determine what to do with it once received.
This is hindering my ability to implement an on-line editor for videotex pages and would appreciate a quick turnaround on this one. Hit me up on irc if you want to discuss. Thanks.

So getting this right would need a copy of the "Prestel Editing Keyboard Specification", which I haven't managed to find anywhere.
Without that document, I think the next-best thing would be a BBC Micro Mode 7 tool to do that.
