I am a student and I have to develop a SyncML client for a mobile phone manufacturer. I would like to know if this toolkit is the same than the one provided by the SyncML consortium (www.syncml.org) for its members and what is the license for this toolkit, can I use it to develop a commercial application ?
Thanks

This is the same toolkit from SyncML (version 4.1). The
license agreement basically says you can do what you
want with it, as long as you hold SyncML harmless.
The license does not require you to give back mods,
unlike some other licenses.
Cheers,
Peter

but in the files, we could see license text as below : Implementation of all or part of any Specification may require * licenses under third party intellectual property rights, * including without limitation, patent rights (such a third party * may or may not be a Supporter). The Sponsors of the Specification * are not responsible and shall not be held responsible in any * manner for identifying or failing to identify any or all such * third party intellectual property rights.
are you sure we can use the libraries freely as part of our comercial product?
