#85 How to exclude directories with specific characters?

Hi,

Thanks for this utility, it's very straightforward and snappy.

I've been trying to exclude some folders but so far with little success:

• ".Trashes" - excludes a folder called *.Trashes *
• ".Spotlight-V100" - doesn't exclude a folder called .Spotlight-V100
• Folders with a specific string in them; something like the extension ".exten" in this example: "FolderNameXYAX.exten"

The second one looks surprising. For the first one, does it help if you include a slash before the pattern? For the specific string part, I'd use a regular expression too. See http://synchronicity.sourceforge.net/help.html#file-regex , though the explanation is more geared towards file exclusion.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for the delay.

These are my current exceptions:

/.*lrdata;".Spotlight-V100";".Trashes";".TemporaryItems";".fseventsd";".Spotlight-V100"

I tried just:

.Spotlight-V100

And

".Spotlight-V100"

And still got this:

Actually, I think I can't make an exception of anything that begins with a period character "."

I tried a bunch of other ways as well, to no avail. I even tried to add this Exclude hidden entries:False in the config file but didn't change anything.
