#83 Timestamp of synced directory is not the same as original

No

Unfortunately, Create Synchronicity does not keep timestamps of directories, the backed up directory has the current timestamp, not the same as original.
However I would use it to make folder compare and backup contents of my directory.

For example, making a copy of a directory with Total Commander or TeraCopy will copy the file and directory timestamps, too. Create Synchronicity does not.

Could you fix this?

Have you checked the following section of the manual?

    Updating folder attributes

In version 6.0+, Create Synchronicity never updates a directory's "last modified" date (although it does set it upon creation). You can force automatic propagation of directories "last modified" dates by adding Sync folder attributes:True to the corresponding profilename.sync file. This setting isn't enabled by default mostly because some network drives do not apply directory attributes correctly: on these drives, enabling this option makes Create Synchronicity try to re-sync "last modified" attributes every time.

      Great!
Could be possible to have this option in the GUI?

        Further things missing:

        • there is no offline manual installed together with the app, not even a link to the manual on the website (I would prefer offline one)
        • a menu with available global Settings
        • the Expert mode should be added to the menu, so user could enable it by mouse click
        • make all global (mainconfig.ini) and contextual (*.sync) options available from the GUI

Thanks. Installing a manual with the app could be useful, but I think there's a link to the manual in the about page, correct?
Most of these setting are supposed to be expert only, and I'd like experts to have read the manual, so not adding a visible option is on purpose.
          Same for the hidden options.

No, there is no manual link on the About page (at least I didn't find it)

I'm expert, but I had even no idea, that there are Expert options.
There should be a menu, where an expert can declare that he is an expert, can turn on expert mode, then can use advanced options.

I see, I will add one.

My hope is that experts will read the manual; this is the way to learn about these options.
