The password stored by the plugin (version 0.4.1) is stored in the registry in plain text.

The password filed entered here:
Start Thunderbird
Go to:
Tools -> Funambol Plugin
Click on Options
Click on Account tab

Registry location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Funambol\MozillaThunderClient\spds\syncml\Auth\password
