Hi, No help regarding the automatic address configuration? Thanks, --Ossama -----Original Message----- From: syn...@li... Subject: Re: [funambol-users] Push Mail Problem Hi Andrea, Actually I tried what you told me, and it didn't work. Below is actually all I tried: I tried to disable/enable WiFi and it didn't work I tried to disable/enable notifications and it didn't work I thought the problem might be with the phone, so I formatted it and reinstalled windows and Funambol pocketpc-v.18 and tried again, but I still faced the same problem, checking the Funambol DS logs "address not configured for device...." I thought the problem might be with the server, so I installed a new Funambol v.6 server and configured it without any luck as well. Same error. I tried through WiFi and GPRS (knowing that GPRS provides real IP addresses) Same error. Any help? Thanks and best regards, --Ossama -----Original Message----- From: syn...@li... Subject: Re: [funambol-users] Push Mail Problem Hello, If you connect using the wifi, everything should be already automated. In your tests, for some reason this didn't happen. Just try to disable and re-enable the wifi, or to disable and re-enable the notifications on the client, and the address should be notified to the server. The same happens using GPRS if your carrier provide a public IP address. Let me know if you keep having problems, Andrea 2007/9/30, Ossama Suleiman <oss...@te...>: > Hi All, > > I am facing a problem to configure push mail over tcp/ip, below is a short > description of the steps followed: > > I installed Funambol v6 PIM and email bundle (windows) on my server machine > I installed Pocket PC v6 on my windows mobile 5 (i-mate KJAM) > I followed the steps in the documentation to setup both the server and the > client. > When doing a sync (poll), everything works fine, email, calendar, contacts > and tasks. > When trying to configure push mail, it just don't work. > I unchecked suppress all notifications in the mobile. > Followed the required steps in the admin tool and checked the push box for > my gmail account. > I started the inbox listener, which is working fine, and informing the > DS-server as soon as a new mail arrives > What I found in the logs was the message "Address not configured for device > 'fwm-354006797663F5173'" > > In order to overcome this problem, I tried it in a lab environment over > WiFi, meaning: > Server has IP 192.168.1.2 and mobile device has IP 192.168.1.3, then setting > this IP manually through the admin tool for that device. > I tried to telnet my mobile device on port 4745 and it is working > Now the notification service works, and I get a popup informing me that I > have new mails > > Is there a way to automate this process, as the IP address of the mobile > changes every time I connect? > > Thanks > --Ossama > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges.
