This is not a bug in Syn, but a bug in a different
application caused by something Syn is doing.

Syn.exe seems to have a conflict with TCServer.exe, a
program which is part of Microsoft's Windows XP Tablet
PC Edition. While Syn is running, TCServer.exe will
eventually have an application fault. I have not seen
this happen except while Syn is running.

I doubt Microsoft will ever fix their bug (or admit
they have one), so I hope it might be possible to fix
Syn so that it doesn't cause this problem.

I have no Microsoft's Windows XP Tablet PC Edition so I
cannot fix this bug. If someone has it and can confirm this
bug, please let describe here exact what, how and when this
    happens.

Can't reproduce this problem regularly, however, I have seen
    it and have a workaround:

Go to the compatibility settings for Syn.exe (right click on
the program and choose properties, then choose the
compatibility tab) and make sure 'Turn off advanced text
services for this program' is checked. (This option might
not be available outside of a Tablet PC)

    This worked for me.

I have seen this problem in other applications created with
the SynEdit components, so it definitely isn't a Syn Text
    Editor bug.

This workaround may actually point to where the problem is,
with more research into what that option does. It is
probably related to the fact that SynEdit is a Delphi custom
control, and not based on a Windows Edit control, yet it can
    receive edit events.
